This is the kind of island life I like! And whoah was it a very much needed quiet and relaxing vacation we were so eager to have.
I’m so glad we ended up on this side of the Andaman Sea, in Southern Thailand. There are endless beaches to discover, a rich variety of food to be tasted and culture to learn from.
I was stressing about not having this trip fully planned out but you really can just figure things out as you go here! But of course, you shouldn’t be wasting your time researching so I put this together so you don’t have to worry about a thing and just fully enjoy these incredible islands with an itinerary prepared in advance.

My bikinis on this trip were the Minimale Animale (similar here) white one piece that is sexy, comfortable and I can wear out as a top, Malta Sommer Swim two piece that I absolutely love for sunbathing and is comfortable for any activity in the ocean. On a last minute shopping trip I found the H&M hunter green two piece that saved my life since the Kira Swim bikini I ordered never arrived (Don’t ever order from them). In the evenings I either threw on a sheer slip, a dress, or crop top and shorts. For the most part I kept it simple but dressed it up with statement earrings here and there.
If I can offer you some advice, on a vacation like this pack light as you will most likely end up living in very minimal clothes and bring comfortable bikinis with thin straps, preferably ones you can pair with bottoms for your out of the water escapades.

Thailand is ideal for the health conscious, vegan, or vegetarian. Most of their food is so clean you have endless options. I must have had fresh fruit, fruit smoothies, and papaya salad every day because I loved how refreshing it all was in the warm weather. BUT I also did enjoy a veggie Tom Kha soup and spring rolls quite a lot! I will be making a separate post on a healthy eating guide for Thailand! (Look out for that)

This time of year (First days of May) there were so many ants everywhere (we confirmed & there was an ant problem)so we couldn’t really bring leftovers back to our room. Mosquitos are just always inevitable in Asia so get used to it, bring repellent (The brand we’re currently using- REPEL plant based Lemon Eucalyptus deet- free), and use those mosquito nets in the room. This is just what happens when you want a cast away vacay. Enjoy those beach life vibes and getting out of your comfort zone. You can’t be mad, you’re in paradise surrounded with the beautiful and positive energy their people radiate!

We spent the first 4 days on the furthest point of a sandy peninsula, at Koh Mook Sivalai Beach Resort. Since we weren’t able to plan ahead of time (per usual) we didn’t get the best rate but it was still under $100 a night, which I’d say was a steal regardless for how dreamy our little beach hut was. Besides the location and our vacay home being perfection, their massage house is heavenly. The massage itself was to die for, it put me right to sleep! The sound of the ocean, the birds chirping, and the beach breeze coming through the windows as you get lathered in aloe vera after a few days of being in the sun so much is pure bliss (you can find cheaper massages in the village but this one is completely worth it).
During our time in Koh Muk we discovered Mr. Yong & his lovely wife in the local village. They sit out in their front porch running their tours & transportation business. We initially booked a morning trip with them on a private longtail boat to visit Emerald Cave and go snorkeling at Koh Kradan. They were so amazing that we ended up just going straight to them any time we wanted to venture out or needed any other transportation services. We found them to be super reliable, friendly and affordable, so if you plan to go to Koh Muk make your life easy and contact them (Mr.Yong Tour & Homestay), trust me, we wish we had known about them prior to arriving (& I’m not getting paid to mention them).
We switched it up with a little change of scenery in Koh Kradan, even more pristine and even more gorgeous! This time we opted for a hotel room at The Sevenseas Resort that we booked the night before checking out of Sivali. Our room was a minimalist sanctuary with a cool outdoor shower surrounding it with bamboo sticks making you really feel like you are living life on the island.
Just FYI Koh Kradan doesn’t have a local village, but it does offer it’s lush tropical greenery and day tours to surrounding islands.

This was my third time in Thailand and every time I become even more obsessed. I always tell people it's one of my favorite countries to travel to because how can it not be? It totally speaks my language! Prices are beyond reasonable, oceans are breathtaking, food is incredible AND their people are what makes your vacation extra special. We felt so comfortable exploring on our own that we decided to spread our love and support most of the tiny little local restaurants nearby everyday either for lunch or dinner instead of just eating at our resort in Koh Muk and let me just say none of them disappointed.
